Gabriel of Sedona Continues His Fight To Protect The Environment
Gabriel of Sedona: A Leader Among Environmental Activists
A lifelong environmentalist and social servant, Gabriel of Sedona's activism has reached far beyond his local Sedona, Arizona community. Since 1989, he has been an integral part of various activist movements involving global issues such as environmental sustainability, clean water, universal health care, and equal employment opportunities. However, Gabriel of Sedona is perhaps most well-known for his local efforts to preserve and protect the natural beauty of Sedona, including its native wildlife and water supply. For the past 20 years, he has worked to prevent unnecessary development that would yield destructive results for the local environment. From housing developments to bridges, Gabriel of Sedona has helped thwart a number of environmentally destructive projects in the community.
Gabriel Of Sedona Fights To Prevent Unnecessary Development
One of the most prominent development projects Gabriel of Sedona has assisted in stopping is the construction of a major bridge across Oak Creek at Red Rock Crossing in Sedona, Arizona. The proposed bridge would have ruined the pristine beauty of the site, which gives a direct view of the astonishingly beautiful Cathedral Rock, a popular tourist attraction.
In addition, as a result of Gabriel of Sedona's tireless efforts, the controversial Bella Terra property in Sedona has gone through foreclosure. Consequently, the property is no longer slated to be used for a high-density development project that would have destroyed area wildlife habitats and covered up wetlands along Oak Creek. Gabriel of Sedona has also assisted in significantly reducing the size of a major housing development adjoining Upper Red Rock Loop Road in Sedona, reducing it from 225 homes to 109.
Gabriel of Sedona has pioneered many other environmental activism campaigns in Sedona and has written many articles focused on water issues and the water rights of Northern Arizona's Native American tribes.
